PRESERVATION AND PROMOTION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE
The philosophy of our Ecohotel inherently includes the promotion of culture, both in terms of valuing and showcasing the community’s expressions, customs, and traditions, and in sharing these with visitors. In this regard, we provide our guests with information (also available in English) on suggested walks and circuits, festive calendars, cultural activities, gastronomy, and local tourism providers, placing special emphasis on initiatives and entrepreneurs who promote sustainable tourism. Much of this useful information is published and promoted on our website and social media channels.
We have edited and published two books: Purmamarca (in English and Spanish) and Identidad (in Spanish). These books compile the cultural expressions characteristic of our Municipality—architecture, rituals and customs, crafts, music—as well as the natural assets and tourist circuits that define the region. Ours is currently the only area in the Quebrada de Humahuaca that offers this type of material, specifically dedicated to a single Municipality. The collection received an award in the 2014 Provincial Publishing Competition organized by the Secretariat of Culture of Jujuy.
PARTNERSHIPS WITH SOCIAL AND GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS
We actively collaborate in public-private partnership projects. Lucy Vilte shares experiences with the municipality of Purmamarca and other localities on environmental, social, and cultural-heritage management matters. Many of these initiatives are carried out with the valuable involvement of neighbors, companies, NGOs, municipal employees, and volunteer hours contributed by the staff of our Ecohotel.
Throughout the year, we participate in various media outlets to discuss the hotel’s sustainable management practices; we also share our experience in entrepreneurship and sustainability forums and frequently receive visits from university students from Jujuy and other provinces, companies, associations, and schools interested in learning more about the initiatives we implement.
On our Instagram and Facebook accounts, we remain active and connected through weekly posts that promote local initiatives and entrepreneurs, and share information and activities related to our sustainable management and the tourism destination. Since 2017, Lucy Vilte has also served as an honorary Director of the Minka Business Institute of Jujuy, where she mentors triple-impact entrepreneurs from the NOA region.

Final words
“We are convinced that the commitment to sustainability embraced by our SME can inspire others to begin, to take action, and to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable tourism and regeneration to heal our world. We know that no idea or initiative is complete unless we communicate it, share it, spread it, and inspire others—building alliances that help drive change. We passionately believe in the power of creating impact from our small place and on a small scale, acting locally and thinking globally. But above all, we are convinced that what truly matters is not the size of the company, but the size of its commitment.”
