Local handicraft trade takes place on the surrounding sidewalks. Although craft trade is mainly of an itinerant nature, some buildings belonging to traditional families currently house stores and shops. Unlike other handicraft fairs, Purmamarca’s features the products of genuinely indigenous local artisans that offer their crafts across the different selling points.
