In Purmamarca, high school students crown their spring queen and take part in the Students´ Week events, with float parades, and regional, provincial, and national queen crowning in San Salvador de Jujuy, as well as in the National Youth Council.
The celebrations take place by the end of September and last ten days, including the change of season. For this reason, Jujuy is said to become the “National Capital of Youth and Spring.”
