The town hall located opposite the main square was built by the middle of the 19th century, probably on the occasion of the celebration of the May Revolution.
The one-story building with a four-arcade portico has solid mud walls twice as thick as those of current buildings. Standing inside the arcade, you can see the ancient cardon crossbeams and from the outside the mud cakes that cover the roof.
It is the smallest one in the country and has become an architectural, historical and social icon of the place as it is considered one of the last ten traditional town halls still standing in Argentina. Today the town hall is converted into a cultural centre and exhibition hall.
